How fast can you inspect for storm damage?
Same-week in normal conditions, and same-day if the roof is open and water is coming inside. After Ian and Milton we ran 7-day-a-week inspections to clear the backlog. Call (941) 896-7793 and we will get you on the calendar.
Do you work directly with my insurance company?
Yes. We coordinate directly with Citizens, Heritage, Universal, Slide, State Farm, and all national carriers. We can meet your adjuster on the roof, send the damage packet to the carrier, and answer claim questions in real time.
What if my insurance denies the claim?
It depends on why. If the carrier denied legitimate damage, we provide additional photo evidence and code-citation language for an appeal or supplement. If the damage is genuinely outside the policy, we will tell you that too. We do not chase non-existent damage to inflate a claim.
How do I know if my roof has real storm damage?
Common signs include lifted or missing shingles, visible granule wash in the gutters, cracked or slid tile, dented metal flashing, debris impact marks, and interior staining on ceilings or in the attic. Drone inspection often catches uplift damage that is invisible from the ground. Free inspection either way.
Will my insurance cover emergency tarping?
Most Florida homeowner policies cover emergency tarping after a covered loss. We document the damage with photos for your claim and submit the tarp invoice in the format your adjuster expects.
How fast can you get a tarp on my roof?
Same-day in most cases across Manatee, South Pinellas, and South Hillsborough. We run a 24/7 emergency line so you are not waiting until business hours when water is coming through the ceiling.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Coastline Roofing is a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor, license CCC1331076, fully insured. Locally owned and licensed in Florida for 10 years.
How long do I have to file a roof insurance claim in Florida?
Florida Statute 627.70132 gives you one year from the date of the storm to file an initial claim. For supplemental claims on an already-open file, the deadline is 18 months from the date of loss. Missing either deadline typically voids coverage for that event, which is why we recommend scheduling an inspection as soon as possible after a storm, even if visible damage seems minor.
